Sea lettuce (Ulva lactuca)

Green algae; bright, light green. Very thin, ruffled or lobed sheets. Typically found floating freely in the water column.

Gutweed (Ulva intestinalis)

Green algae; bright, light green. Thin, tubular blades, growing singly or in colonies. Resembles a “shredded” version of sea lettuce (Ulva lactuca).
