Every May, teams of students in grades 9-12 convene for the New Jersey Envirothon, a day-long problem-solving competition, with honors, prizes, and scholarships at stake.
This year, the NJ Envirothon will have students tackling the issue of non-point source (NPS) pollution. Students will learn about NPS pollution, identify its sources, and learn to conduct their own NPS survey in their communities and watersheds. Students will also learn about NPS pollution mitigation strategies including conservation, recycling, responsible consumption, watershed planning, water quality monitoring, and nature-based solutions.
Sign-in begins at 7:45am on Saturday, May 9th. Teams participating in the Envirothon can choose to camp at the Lighthouse Center Friday night into Saturday morning.
Visit the NJ Envirothon website to learn more and to register for this year’s Envirothon.
Registration due by Friday, March 6th, 2026.
